[Solved] Could not get var/lib/dpkg/lock | Kali LinuxThis is a common problem most Linux users face sometimes. This problem is caused by the Linux lock file. Also, if you have a weak internet connection you will face this problem.

How to get rid of it?

The solution is simple. Just follow the steps explained below

1. Type the commands given below.

sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/lock
sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/lock

2.  Check if it is working by updating the sources by using the 'apt-get update' command.

🔺Note: You may get different paths for the lock file presents but the solution is the same for all of them. Just add 'sudo rm' before the path.
